Hillary Blames De Blasio for Racist Sketch

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, Hillary Clinton, who is good at not taking blame, blamed New York City mayor Bill de Blasio for a controversial sketch made over the weekend, in which the latter said he was running on “C.P. time” that is, “Colored People Time.”

“Well, look, it was Mayor de Blasio’s skit,” she said in an interview. “He has addressed it, and I will really defer to him because it is something that he’s already talked about.”

The mayor explained that the phrase in this context was meant to be satirical and a reference to “cautious politician time.” Read more at Cosmopolitan.

  1. This whole fuss is much ado about nothing. It was offensive for a pair of Caucasians to joke about “colored people time”, but if you look at who it was coming from neither de Blasio nor Clinton have ever been even one iota racist in the past and clearly didn’t mean to offend here. (FWFW, I say this as someone who thinks de Blasio is an awful mayor and Clinton is an awful person in general, but fair is fair.)
