Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has canceled a campaign trip to California after news of her pneumonia diagnosis triggered new concerns over her heatlh. One of Clinton’s aides announced the cancellation Sunday night following an admission by the campaign earlier in the day that Clinton has been diagnosed with pneumonia. Clinton was scheduled to attend fundraisers in California on Monday and Tuesday. But the trip is now off, as she has been advised by her doctor to rest.

Clinton’s health has been the subject of numerous rumors throughout the campaign. At a 9/11 ceremony on Sunday, Clinton abruptly left the event early after appearing to faint. After initially claiming she’d simply “overheated,” her campaign admitted she had been diagnosed with pneumonia. Read more at REUTERS.

  1. Hillary Clinton has nothing to be ashamed of as far as her illness. Pneumonia can happen to anyone, especially giving the grueling schedule the nominee has day in and day out. Regardless of what I think of her as a candidate, I hope she has a speedy, full recovery.

On a separate note, isn’t it interesting that even on something as innocuous as the cause of her lightheadedness, the very first instinct of Clinton and her campaign is to lie about it?
