Hillary Clinton finally said she opposes the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline Tuesday after months of declining to state an opinion.
“I think it is imperative that we look at the Keystone XL pipeline as what I believe it is: A distraction from the important work we have to do to combat climate change, and, unfortunately from my perspective, one that interferes with our ability to move forward and deal with other issues,” Clinton said.
She had previously stated she was waiting for the Obama administration to make a final decision on its stance before she discussed her own. But Clinton alleged she couldn’t wait any longer to speak up. Read more at NBC News.
