Hillary Summoned for Private GOP Chat



The Republican chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi has summoned Hillary Clinton for a private interview about her use of her personal email as secretary of state.

Rep. Trey Gowdy said “a transcribed interview would best protect Secretary Clinton’s privacy, the security of the information queried, and the public’s interest in ensuring this committee has all information needed to accomplish the task set before it.”

The request comes as questions continue to arise about Clinton’s dueling answers about why she used her personal email for government business.

On Tuesday, the AP found that Clinton sent personal email from several devices, undercutting her claim that she used a personal account so she would only have to carry one device. Read more at The New York Times.
