Hizbullah has obtained advanced, Russian-made, Yakhont anti-ship missiles, potentially threatening Israeli gas fields and the Israeli Navy in the Mediterranean Sea, the Hebrew daily Yediot Achronot reported Sunday, according to a report by Alexander Fulbright at the Times of Israel.

The information was revealed by Western intelligence officials over the weekend at the Munich Security Conference.

Israel is said to have targeted at least two shipments of Yakhont systems in 2013 from Syria to Hizbullah. The Yakhont has a reported range of up to 300 km.
