Malcolm Hoenlein, Executive Vice Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, has been holding secret talks with Qatar in an effort to retrieve Israeli soldiers’ bodies and citizens held in the Gaza Strip, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Hoenlein refused to comment.
Hoenlein has maintained quiet contacts with Arab and Muslim countries for years, even traveling to Damascus in 2011.
