eric-holderMaking his strongest statement in support of toeivah rights so far, Attorney General Eric Holder called the so-called “struggle” for toeivah equality one of “the defining civil rights challenges of our time.”

Holder was speaking before the Swedish parliament, which he praised for legalizing same-gender marriage by an overwhelming margin in 2009.

“By becoming the seventh nation in the world to extend the right to marry to [same gender] couples, you’ve stabilized families and expanded individual liberty.”

The remarks came just two days before the opening of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, where oppressive laws have sparked an international debate about discrimination. Read more at The Washington Post.

  1. “you’ve stabilized families”

What in the world is this man talking about?!

This unelected man should be put in a maximum security prison!

  2. Holder is a foolish liberal like his boss. They check which way the wind is blowing and then pontificate about morality. Such people are not worthy of their offices. They disgrace them. Russia is right on this issue, and the USA and Sweden are fools following a decadent and evil path.

  3. Russia is right on the issue? Children are kidnapped off the street and sent away to live with foster families.

Toivah marriage may be a problem, but Russia is a wicked country.

  4. Independent changes in the general community are not Torah directions for human solvency. Our future is in the hands of true jewish worlds of prayer and not the asset of unenlightened guilt. Torah firms all futures. Torah is not an avenue to discriminate against the common man. So no, we do not support Toevah marriage in our communities, but the world has its own focus and limitations. Never Again.
