Homeland Security Secretary: Illegals Have ‘Earned Right to be Citizens’

jeh-johnsonSpeaking at the United States Conference of Mayors on Friday, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said the approximately 11 million people who are in the country illegally have “earned the right to be citizens.”

“An earned path to citizenship for those currently present in this country is a matter of, in my view, homeland security to encourage people to come out from the shadows,” said Johnson, in what he remarked was one of his first public speeches since being confirmed as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief in December.

“It is also, frankly, in my judgment, a matter of who we are as Americans,” he said, “to offer the opportunity to those who want to be citizens, who’ve earned the right to be citizens, who are present in this country–many of whom came here as children–to have the opportunity that we all have to try to become American citizens.”

  1. this is not a surprise to me and i do not know why you seem shocked. our president’s cabinet is full of his puppets starting from kerry all the way to this yockel. he only appoints officials if they follow his agenda even though its evident that its senseless.

  2. By breaking the law I earned the right but if I follow the law and apply legally I can be stuck in limbo for years
    What s bunch of hogwash.

  3. How did illegal immigrants “earn the right” to become citizens?

    By entering the USA illegally?

    By failing to learn English?

By costing American taxpayers billions of dollars?

By causing overwhelmed hospitals to close down permanently?

By committing numerous crimes and ending up in American jails?

Let me tell you how illegal immigrants
earned the right to become citizens:

First, Hispanic voters overwhelmingly helped to reelect President Obama.

Second, President Obama knows that Hispanic immigrants will probably vote for the Democratic Party candidates. If President Obama believed that Hispanic immigrants would vote for Republican Party candidates, then he would never help them to become citizens.

  4. As someone who came to this country LEGALLY- it was done with a lot of Tefillah, mesirus nefesh, and hard work- I am utterly insulted.

This gentleman who has the nerve to call himself head of homeland security- by allowing random illegals to come in a and become legal you are chas vashalom setting this country up for disaster terrorists, drugs leaders ect.

  5. This is most typical of this current disgrace of an administration: They favor the lawbreakers and not the lawmakers.

    #1, #2, #3, especially #4, &#5 repeatedly hit the bull’s-eye with their astute comments.

  6. Ok, I’m heading to the nearest bank. Cant wait to steal all that money, and then it will belong to me. Yipee!
Btw, what kind of name is Jeh???
