Seven-hundred people attended the levaya this past week of Rebbetzin Blumer Schneebalg a”h, wife Rav Menachem-Mendel Schneebalg of Manchester. The Rebbetzin was 83. The levaya was held at Khal Machzikei Hadass, where Rav Schneebalg is the morah d’asra.
A Holocaust survivor who saved her sister in Auschwitz, Rebbetzin Schneebalg lived in Eretz Yisroel after the war and was a household help to the Chazon Ish. After marrying Rav Schneebalg in 1953, she dedicated her life to chesed in Manchester and serving as a dedicated aizer to her choshuveh husband. The Rebbetzin was constantly visiting cholim in hospitals and doing chesed for others.
