Hundreds March Across Brooklyn Bridge to Protest Deaths by Police

brooklyn-bridgeHundreds of people are marching from Union Square to 1 Police Plaza as part of a demonstration protesting the deaths of unarmed people at the hands of police, including the most recent high-profile case of Walter Scott in South Carolina.

Organized by the activist group Stop Mass Incarceration, the march started at Union Square Tuesday afternoon and was expected to move down to Police Plaza.

Chopper 4 over Brooklyn Bridge captured around 500 protesters walking into traffic. Police were seen taking some people into custody, and commuters were warned to expect traffic delays on the Brooklyn Bridge.

  1. So I guess Mayor DeBlasio and his “yes-man” sidekick, Bill Bratton, will allow this anarchy to go unpunished. What a joke we have in Gracie mansion.

  2. i protest people doing things that prompted police to fear for their lives, and to have to kill others to save themselves, their comrades, and/or innocent bystanders
