Arutz Sheva reports that after briefly disallowing Sefer Torah dedications completely, the IDF restricted such ceremonies to a maximum of eight visitors, although exceptions will be made on request for a small number of additional guests. Song, dance, and a small seudah will be allowed, but special hachnosas Sefer Torah vehicles will not be permitted.

Following a recent instance in which a hundred Air Force soldiers stood in the shape of the Google logo to welcome the company’s chairman, the new instructions direct that “no use is to be made of the soldiers in any visits other than for purposes of public relations or as part of their regular duties.”
