The Israel Defense Forces carried out artillery strikes against five Hamas and Islamic Jihad outposts in the Gaza Strip on Thursday morning after a number of improvised explosive devices planted along the border fence were detonated.
There were no injuries to Israeli forces as a result of the explosions on the security fence but the incident was described as “very serious,” the army said.
