Brooklyn – Simcha Felder is awaiting the final results from the Conservative primary after decisively winning the Democratic primary while being attacked by two candidates.
“I want to thank everyone who took the time to come out to vote for me. I am humbled by their overwhelming support,” Felder told Matzav.com. “After growing up, raising my family and spending nearly 20 years working in this district, I am touched by their enthusiastic support,” said Felder.
“This amount of support shows the entire district is tired of the baseless lies and smears our opponents threw at us during this race,” said E. O’Brien Murray, Simcha’s campaign manager.
“Unofficial tallies from the Board of Elections show David Storobin with no more than 87 votes. Our records show Simcha Felder will have at least 110 votes when the ballots are tallied,” said Murray. “Conservative voters made their choice. We are confident that the true Conservative will win this primary and Simcha Felder will be the Conservative Party candidate in November,” concluded Murray.
Simcha is running for the newly formed open 17th Senate District that encompasses Borough Park, Flatbush, Midwood, Kensington and Sunset Park. Felder is currently New York City’s Deputy Comptroller for Budget and Accounting. He served the neighborhoods of Borough Park, Kensington and Flatbush in the City Council from 2002 through 2010.
