chris-christieAccording to the internal investigation released on Thursday by Governor Chris Christie’s lawyers, David Wildstein, the man who oversaw lane closings at the George Washington Bridge, says he told Christie about the actions at a September 11 memorial. The report says Christie did not remember the conversation, and that there is no evidence he had a hand in the plot to close the lanes. However, Wildstein also says he told Christie’s press secretary in December about the conversation, just before he resigned.

The report does, however, lay much of the blame on Christie’s former deputy chief of staff, Bridget Anne Kelly, as well as Wildstein. The report also claims that Christie was “welling up with tears” when he learned at a meeting about the closings. Read more at the New York Times.

  1. What a farce! Christie hires his own lawyer at taxpayer expense and he finds his own client innocent! This is truly amazing!
