Qasem Suleimani, the commander of Iran’s famed Quds Force and one of the country’s principal players in the war against ISIS, has decided to take a step out of the limelight.
In a letter circulated this week, Suleimani asked a filmmaker to abandon a documentary about him, and referred to himself as a “soldier full of weakness.”
The general is also something of a social-media star-popular in selfies posted from the front lines-but described some of his virtual presence as “exaggeration and not true and contrary to security and political interests.” Read more at Al Monitor.
