Just five days after reaching an agreement with major world powers, the Internaional Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says that Iran has invited international inspectors to tour the heavy water production plant in Arak beginning December 8.
The plant in Arak is one of two controversial sites, the other being the Gachin mine in Bandar Abbas, as they could potentially be used in the production of plutonium for weapons.
The Parachin military site was not part of the invitation however, and is suspected to be the location where Iran at one time tested devices for nuclear weapons. Read more at The New York Times.
