ISIS militants have shot down a fighter jet belonging to the U.S.-led coalition and captured its pilot, a monitoring group reported today. The militants reportedly brought down the jet near Raqqa in northern Syria using an antiaircraft missile.
On social media, ISIS supporters claim the captured pilot is from Jordan and posted images of a man in a white T-shirt surrounded by gunmen. The government of Jordan has confirmed that the pilot is one of its own. Read more at The New York Times.
