Israel Backs Away From Shutting Al Jazeera

Israel on Wednesday appeared to back down from its threat to shut the offices of the Al Jazeera television station, saying it would not revoke the press accreditation of its Jerusalem correspondent for now.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said last month that he wanted to expel the Qatari broadcaster from the country, accusing it of inciting violence. Read more at Times of Israel.

  1. Netanyahu’s boss, the non-Democratic self-elected High Court judge was against it.
    It would be worthwhile reading why a golden statue of High Court President Miriam Naor was erected in Tel Aviv this week.
