Israeli ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer called Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee’s comments likening the Iran deal to the Holocaust inappropriate on Monday.
“These are not words that I would use or that I think are appropriate,” the ambassador told USA Today. “We don’t in any way impugn the motives of the people who are doing this deal. I think it’s important to conduct this debate in a way that’s befitting of the alliance between our two countries,” Dermer said.
Huckabee rightfully refused to apologize on Monday for his comments that President Obama was marching Israelis to the “door of the oven” with the Iran nuclear deal. Read more at USA Today.

I cannot believe that any objective Jewi9sh person could find fault with Huckabee’s remarks. I think that the only reason why the ambassador responded the way he did is because of the Jewish knee-jerk reaction against officially offending the “goy” in power. This behavior was in medieval Europe referred to as “Mah Yufis”, meaning, reassure the “goy” that we admire him. If a Jewe has to criticize the policies of the President of the United States he must make sure that he does not do so too stridently, or make the “goy” feel defensive. To do otherwise might arouse the ire of the Gentiles and they might behave even worse toward the Jews.
The fact remains that Hassan Rouhani promised that he would annihilate all the Jews in Israel. At present he lacks the means to do so, otherwise Israel would have already been as leveled as Hiroshima .Should Iran achieve nuclear weapons capabilities, why should we not fear that Rouhani would keep his word? Any comparison to Hitler and the Holocaust is absolutely appropriate in my eyes as a child and brother of Holocaust survivors.
Dermer is a typical left wing sell out.
All the Ambassador said was the words used were inappropriate. Use of invective was not going to be effective in dealing with the situation. Ymach Sha’am sought our destruction with great detail and methodical planning.
The Iran deal so poorly conceived , so logically flawed that any comparison to the Nazis YM’S would misapplied. What is troubling is that in pursuit of legacy the American President is willing to imperil Israel and America.
It’s so ridiculous that people are offended. His comment was in support of Israel. He wasn’t trying to make fun or belittle Jews. He was
trying to make a strong point in support of Jews and Israel. Huckabee was purely stating a fact. If a nuclear weapon chas v’shalom were had, then nuclear weapons create an enormous amount of heat, hotter than ovens.
