Israeli Seriously Hurt in Terror Attack Near Chevron

imageA Palestinian suspect stabbed an Israeli man in the back Thursday outside of the Kiryat Arba settlement, next to the city of Chevron.

The victim was seriously injured in the attack, the third of the day, which came close on the heels of stabbings in Tel Aviv and Yerushalayim.

The 25-year-old Jewish victim was in serious condition and was taken to Yerushalayim for treatment. Magen David Adom paramedics said they were fighting to save the victim’s life in the ambulance en route to Yerushalayim’s Shaare Tzedek Hospital.

“His life is in danger,” Eli Bin, the head of MDA said.

The Palestinian suspect fled the scene of the incident, at the western entrance to the town, toward Chevron. The IDF said in a statement that troops were engaged in a manhunt for the suspect.
