Avishag Turk, 42, became the first Israeli woman to swim the English Channel last week, Times of Israel reports.
Starting in Dover on Tuesday, she swam over 13 hours to reach Calais.
During her journey, Turk had to contend with jellyfish and cold water, but also enjoyed the company of dolphins for part of the trek.
The only other Israeli to swim the English Channel was physician Eitan Friedman in 1993.

Tuesday, Tisha B’Av?
An Israeli named Turk swam the English channel, starting in France.
I once tried it,not on tisho b’av though, and had to give up when those 15 meter long great white’s started taking chunks out of me,i thought “hey, this could get nasty,i’me having none of this” ( although the sharks were ! ) and i abandoned it there and then and havent attempted it since.
The Channel is too cold for sharks
but the story sure is good, give us some more
