Jeb Bush will not attend the 2016 Republican National Convention, the failed presidential candidate said Tuesday.
The former Florida governor’s decision to skip what is sure to be a contentious week in Cleveland comes along with several other prominent Republicans considering opting out, including Sens. Kelly Ayotte (“I’ve got a lot of work to do in New Hampshire”) and Richard Burr (“I’m up for reelection”), and Rep. Mick Mulvaney, who said, “Let the activists, let the people decide… I’m going to stay home and work.”
This year’s RNC is expected to play host to potential melee between frontrunner Donald Trump and the many groups who seek to deny him the nomination. Read more at CNN.
