A sixteen-year-old Jewish girl named Sarah Goldman was brutally murdered while on her way to school in Manchester on Monday. A few hours after she did not arrive to school, a relative found her lifeless in an abandoned building near her home.

Her family said that Sarah went to school yesterday at 5:30 AM because she wanted to use the gym before school hours, but did not arrive at school. Around 9:30 AM she was reported missing, and 20 minutes later she was found dead.

Police have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder and he was later released on bail.

Goldman was a pupil at the Yavneh Girls in King David High School in Crumpsall, an Orthodox Jewish school. In a statement, the school said that “Sarah was a lovely, bright, intelligent and well-mannered pupil and she will be hugely missed by everyone at school.”

Police said they were keeping an “open mind” about the circumstances of the girl’s death. Greater Manchester Police’s Superintendent Caroline Hemmingway said: “We are currently investigating the tragic death of a 16-year-old girl in Kersal, and it is our top priority to find out exactly how she died.

“We have arrested a man in connection with the girl’s death. However, we are still keeping an open mind and will be exploring all avenues.

“We would like to hear from anyone who heard or saw anything unusual this morning around Brookside Drive to get in touch as soon as possible. We are trying to piece together this puzzle and help give the girl’s family the answers they deserve.”

Anyone with any information is asked to call police on 0161 856 8172 or 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Not sure what is going on. Crazy things happening these days. But from the writing of the article. Seems like some fishy was going on.
