President Obama has refused to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu when he comes to the U.S. in March to address Congress about the Iranian nuclear threat, but had no problem breaking bread with the Sudanese foreign minister on Thursday – even though his government has been accused of genocide, notes foreign U.N. Ambassador John Bolton.

Obama was criticized for his words at the National Prayer Breakfast in what Bolton and others called a “moral equivalence” of modern-day Islamic terrorists and the Christian Crusades of a millennia ago.

But there also was heat over the attendance of Sudan Foreign Minister Ali Ahmed Karti, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

“I wonder if they cleared that with the State Department first,” Bolton said on Fox News Channel’s “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren,” referring to the “breach-of-protocol” protests the White House and congressional Democrats asserted when GOP House Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu to address Congress without first talking to the White House.

Sudanese presidential assistant Ibrahim Ghandour also is in Washington and will attend meetings with the Obama administration next week, the Free Beacon reported.
