Former CIA Director John Brennan went after President Donald Trump after the new commander in chief bashed the media and boasted about his crowd sizes while speaking to CIA employees in front of the agency’s Memorial Wall at its headquarters in Virginia.
“Former CIA Director Brennan is deeply saddened and angered at Donald Trump’s despicable display of self-aggrandizement in front of CIA’s Memorial Wall of Agency heroes,” Brennan’s former deputy chief of staff, Nick Shapiro, said in a statement. “Brennan says that Trump should be ashamed of himself.”
Later, as reported on Matzav, White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer stated that “this was the largest audience to ever witness the inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe.” This morning, Trump celebrated his visit to the agency’s headquarters. “Had a great meeting at CIA Headquarters yesterday, packed house, paid great respect to Wall, long standing ovations, amazing people. WIN!” he tweeted. Read more at CNN.
