jordans-king-abdullah-iiAmman – Yesterday, King Abdullah II of Jordan rejected what he called Israel’s attempts to “Judaize” the history and archaeology of the Old City of Yerushalayim and its surroundings.

Abdullah stressed during a meeting on Thursday that Jordan will continue its role in protecting the holy sites in the city of Yerushalayim, and support those who confront all actions of Israel “aimed at changing the identity of the city and its Arabism.”

“We will spare no effort in order to protect and maintain Islamic and Christian sanctities, and we will support the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem stationed at the mosques and churches,” he said.
