jtaThe following letter was penned by Elisa Spungen Bildner, president of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), a Jewish news service:
Dear Reader:
I’m writing to you because I’m concerned about JTA’s future and need your help. As a former reporter, I am passionate about strong journalism and its role in binding a community together. Too many beloved media outlets have disappeared or sharply cut back their news coverage in the last year. I won’t let that happen to JTA.It only takes a moment to understand why JTA is irreplaceable: No other news or online source tells our Jewish stories in such a comprehensive manner.

JTA is a critical daily read for community leaders, opinion makers, activists and those concerned about Israel and the Jewish people. If this includes you, then I am asking you to please stand up during these uncertain times and become a member of JTA.

For just $50 a year, you can help ensure that JTA will continue providing the news our community thrives on to stay informed, engaged and effective. Information is power, and the more people are connected to the international Jewish experience through JTA’s global reporting, the stronger our community will be.

I can’t imagine the Jewish world without JTA. If you can’t either, become a member now.

Sincerely,

Elisa Spungen Bildner
President
