messiah-kidWhat about “Moshiach“?

A judge in Tennessee ordered a family to change their 7-month-old’s name from “Messiah” to “Martin.”

“The word Messiah is a title and it’s a title that has only been earned by one person…,” said Child Support Magistrate Lu Ann Ballew to explain her decision.

The boy’s parents are appealing the decision, saying it’s not right for Ballew to force them to change their baby’s name because of her religious beliefs. They originally got the court involved because they couldn’t agree on the boy’s last name. The Cocke County chancellor will hear the appeal on September 17. Read more at WBIR.com.

  1. I know people with the last name Mashiach. There are goyim with the name “Yoshka” so what’s wrong with the name Messiah? No one will mistake him for the real Messiah. It’s a much better name than those crazy people who wanted to name their children after Nazis.

  2. Judge ought be defrocked!
None of her business! If they called allah or mohammed or hey-soos all would be fine! She’s a duntz!

  3. This should be a slam-dunk on appeal. The judge gave a reason based on hew own religious beliefs, which she has no right to impose on others.

  4. Achakeh lo bechol yom shevayavo when we wont have to read such silliness. and Moshiach Tzidkeinu will be here,. Tisbi yetareitz kushyos veabayos
