snapple-summer-peach-Please be advised that a limited quantity of Snapple Summer Peach made by Snapple Beverage Corp. was inadvertently labeled OK Pareve. This product is not kosher. Labels are being corrected.

-Shop Rite Instant Hot Cocoa Mix – Milk Chocolate Flavor UPC: 4119001760 Company: Wakefern Food Corp.: A limited amount of this OU-D certified product was inadvertently sold with packets containing non-kosher marshmallows. Affected product is limited to those products bearing the date code Oct. 30 10. Consumers should contact their Rabbi to determine the status of utensils that have come in contact with the above product.

-Foodtown Rice Cakes- Caramel Made with Whole Grain, Foodtown, Inc. – Avenel, NJ: This product contains dairy ingredients as listed on the ingredient panel but the dairy designation has been inadvertently omitted. Future packaging will be revised.

  1. We understand that Snapple is produced in many different plants. Some or most of the plants also produce non-kosher and or dairy. The products are pasteurized on hot equipment. Kashering is done by company CIP records not with a mashgiach, etc.

    There has been more kashrus mishaps than can or should be acceptable to the kosher consumer.
    We only know about the ones that were caught & publicized.

    It seems that the kosher certifier has lost complete control at Snapple.

  2. As usual Yudel Shain (who was fired by the OK for being dishonest) is wrong. The OK has a very strong system in place for kashering by mashgichim. In the same facilities the OU relies on charts and does not send in mashgichim.
