Katz: Countries We’ve Been Helping Prevent Terrorism Within Their Borders Voted Against Us at the UN

Ahead of Secretary of State John Kerry’s Mideast policy speech on Wednesday, a member of the Israeli cabinet blasted the countries that supported Friday’s UN Security Council Resolution 2334, declaring a Jewish presence beyond the 1967 armistice lines illegal.

Transportation, Intelligence and Atomic Energy Minister Yisrael Katz said with disgust, “States to which Israel has been providing intelligence to assist them in preventing terrorist attacks on their soil sat there and voted against us at the UNSC.”

In sharp contrast to Katz — a member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party — opposition politicians, among them Zionist Union MK Tzipi Livni, defended the resolution, while criticizing what she considers to be the reason behind it.

“In the sea of curses that the Netanyahu government is hurling at the world, it is our job to distill the truth,” Livni said. “The entire world is not against the state of Israel, but rather against the settlement policy of the Israeli government. In times of war against enemies, we will stand by the government’s side, but we will not stand beside a government that turns our friends into enemies through its policies.”

A prominent leader of the settler movement Oded Revivi, head of the Efrat Regional Council, called Kerry — with whom he met a few weeks ago — “disconnected from reality,” a “headline-seeker” who “confuses facts with wish[ful thinking].”

  1. I think they should go to Syria and help the poor Syrians are being killed how stupid can you be stop trying to be the nice guy’s of the world to the people who would kill you in a heartbeat like the backstabbing people at the UN

  2. Israel should not just give away its technology and intel. There has to be some kind of a business model where a real profit is being made, and where the price charged is correlated to the buyer’s political stance.

  3. This is no Joke my Jewish brothers and sisters….

This is a clear message from Hahsem that if we don’t do Teshuva, Hashem will go against us (punish us) with the ANGER of “קרי” KERRI g-d forbid. The Torah uses the word Kerry “קרי” to show Hashem’s anger Chas VeSholom.

Please before it’s to late lets wake up on this Chanukah day and get closer to Hashem each and every one in their own way. Its not funny to see Hashem sending us clear messages all the time and we ignore them, we don’t change we don’t seem to become better Yidden…. Because if we continue it might hit the fan and explode at us Chas VeSholom, very soon it might be to late.

    Thank you.

  4. Message to self: Stop providing intelligence about terrorists, to countries that stab you in the back at the UN. Countries that engage in legal terrorism against Israel, should not benefit from Israeli counter-terrorism intelligence.
