U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said that Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad must go as head of the country, but added that the exact time of his departure is open to negotiation.
Kerry urged Russia and Iran to use their influence to bring Assad to negotiations.
“It doesn’t have to be on day one or month one,” he said. “There is a process by which all the parties have to come together to reach an understanding of how this can best be achieved.” Read more.
