Kerry Signs U.N. Arms Treaty

Secretary of State John Kerry signed a treaty designed to regulate trade in conventional arms like tanks, artillery, and guns. It’s designed to stop the flow of weapons to countries where they could be used for genocide or terrorism, but Republican lawmakers and gun-rights advocates claim that it could be used to regulate the sale of weapons in the U.S. (The U.N. denies that it could apply to domestic gun laws.)

Opposition in the Senate means that despite Kerry’s signature, the U.S. probably won’t ratify the treaty in the near future. Nevertheless, people on Twitter are accusing Kerry of treason. Read more at Fox News.
