The 23-year-old talmid of Rav Tzvi Kaplan’s yeshiva went with a friend on a hike in the Yerushalayim Forest. His friend lost sight of him at about noon local time.

A massive search was launched in conjunction with the Ichud Hatzalah and Zaka search and rescue organizations, who were joined by thousands of volunteers.

There has been no trace of Aharon so far, leading to fears that he may have been kidnapped.

Speakers at today’s press conference included Lakewood Mayor Menashe Miller, Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein, Congressman Chris Smith, State Senator Bob Singer, Ocean County Freeholder Gerry P. Little, Ocean County Freeholder Vicari, and Rabbi Yisroel Serebrowski. A statement from Senator Robert Menendez, who was unable to attend, was read by a representative of his office.

The event was attended by many local residents, as well as relatives of Aharon, including his brothers and his uncles, Rav Meir Eisemann and Rav Binyomin Eisemann. Aharon’s father, R’ Moshe Tzvi, is currently in Eretz Yisroel.

May we only hear besuros tovos. All are asked to daven for Aharon ben Chuldah.
