Lakewood: Langert, D’Elia Win Primary

steven-langert1New Jersey – Residents went to the polls on Tuesday to vote in primary elections around the state.

In Lakewood, NJ, incumbent Steve Langert and Michael D’Elia defeated Board of Education member Joel Schwartz in the race for the Republican nomination. Langert received 1,891 votes, D’Elia received 2,166 votes, while Schwartz received 630 votes.

Langert and D’Elia will face off against the Democratic pair of incumbent Councilman Raymond Coles and Moshe Raitzik for two three-year seats on the five-member Township Committee.
