Once again, this Chol Hamoed, Kollel Ner Avrohom and Dr. Casriel Roberts will host a carnival for the Lakewood, NJ, community. The event will be held on Thursday, the second day of Chol Hamoed, at the Lakewood Cheder Vassar Avenue campus, from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

There will not be a rain date.

The entrance and exit for the Cheder will accommodate two-way traffic, with each driveway ending at a parking lot. There will be three parking choices:

  • One Cheder lot from the current Cheder driveway entrance (two-way traffic for the carnival).
  • Another Cheder parking lot from the current Cheder driveway exit (two-way traffic for the carnival).
  • The Orchos Chaim parking lot on Oberlin Avenue.

Shows will take place inside the school lunchroom and outside the main entrance, weather permitting.

Popcorn, cotton candy, and nosh – jawbreakers on a stick and Dips 4 Fun – will be distributed outside the main entrance.

The wedding hall and its entrance will be locked.

Changes from the previous carnival include the fact that the rides have been replaced by a fourth show, with two inside and two outside, and the prize has been replaced by a second large nosh.

The shows, half-hour in length each, will be storyteller Rabbi Mayer Erps at 11:45 a.m., 1:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.; Simon Sez master Mr. Steve Max at 12:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.; the Flight Crew jump rope show at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; and the Wild World of Animals animal show at 1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

This is a Camp B’lev Echad event that will be paid for by Kollel Ner Avrohom, Inc.

Everything is free. Nothing will be available to be purchased.
