Former Finance Minister Yair Lapid, head of the Yesh Atid party, continues to insist that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made a deal with the chareidi parties that led to the upcoming election.

On Tuesday, Lapid outlined on his Facebook page an alleged deal between Netanyahu and Shas chairman Aryeh Deri, Arutz Sheva reported.

According to Lapid, Netanyahu pledged to provide tens of millions of shekels in funding to Shas’s school network, Maayan Hachinuch Hatorani, and in return the chareidi MKs would vote in favor of the transferring of one hundred million shekels to communities in Judea and Samaria.

“For two years we were the only barrier to the these ugly deals,” Lapid wrote, adding, “A few weeks ago I blew up a meeting with the Prime Minister because they wanted to transfer 300 million to ‘isolated settlements’. I said told the attendees at that meeting, ‘We need this money in Be’er Sheva and Kiryat Shmona, not to spend it on the road leading to Tapuah or Yitzhar.'”

“Now the Prime Minister wants to pay bribes so that he be allowed to pay bribes. It’s time to tell him – the state is not for sale,” added Lapid.
