Leaders of China, Taiwan Finally Meet

china tawainThe presidents of China and Taiwan met for the first time today since the Chinese Civil War 66 years ago.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou held their meeting in Singapore, neutral ground, and amicably shook hands.

Both sides didn’t come to any fixed agreements and the meeting ended up being more symbolic than anything else. Read more.
