rubashkin3Mrs. Leah Rubashkin has informed Matzav.com that since her husband, Reb Sholom Mordechai, was moved to Otisville this past week, she and her family have been able to send him all the messages emailed to him from the Tehillim campaign started on his behalf (see here).

Mrs. Rubashkin said that her husband would like to thank each and every person who has davened for him and expressed support.

“Given the new evidence that has now been uncovered (see here),” she said, “everyone’s Tehillim is definitely having an effect. Please continue to say Tehillim until it is obvious to all the injustice that has been done, so that justice can be finally served and Sholom Mordechai can be home.”

Mrs. Rubashkin told Matzav.com that those who wish to write to Reb Sholom Mordechai may do so to:

Sholom Rubashkin 10755-029

FCI Otisville

Federal Correction Inst.

P.O. Box 1000

Otisville, NY 10963

  1. Reb Shalom has a big zechus as know one could of bought all types of yeden to daven for one Yid.
May Hashem answer the Tefillos and alow Reb Sholom to go home to start a new Year.

  2. PLEASE double check with Mrs. Rubashkin if this is a good idea. The prison will not deliver all of the letters if it becomes too many and if they feel that they have a “celeberty” on their hands they will make life harder on SMR. TRUST ME ON THIS – been there done that! I had a close member of my family who nebach had to sit and we thought we were providing tremendous Chizuk by having letters sent only to find out that he would maybe get a couple a day and that the prison system was one where if they were bothered because of a prisinoer then they took it out on that person in harsh ways like “forgot to bring the kosher meal”, “change the job he had to do”, “lessen the hours out of the cell”, cut back on amount of weight each package could be since mail weighs so much”, “cut some of his visiting hours” and more.

If Mrs. Rubashkin has indeed verified that her husband can get all the mail he wants without any suffering what so ever – and verified that from other families of Frum inmates then Kol Hakovod lets send him letters but until then she may be making a huge mistake here even with good intentions.

  3. and by the way – please let everyone know to be very careful what they write and the tone of their letter. Many if not all letters are opened and read by the guards before they are delivered to the inmate. Nothing is private!!!!
