Don’t think the left will stop at banning the Confederate battle flag, Rush Limbaugh warned his radio audience on Tuesday — the American flag is next.
“The next flag that will come under assault, and it will not be long, is the American flag,” Limbaugh said on his syndicated radio show.
“If you take a look at the timeline of progressive events, their speed and rapidity with which the left is conducting this assault on all of these American traditions and institutions, if you don’t think the American flag’s in their crosshairs down the road, you had better stop and reconsider,” he said.
Limbaugh stressed that he isn’t arguing to keep the Confederate flag that some Southerners see as a sign of regional pride, but others say invokes slavery and Jim Crow segregation-era laws.
“The point is, as with everything else the left does, what they tell you they’re irritated about is not where it ends,” he said.

He’s right. What is even sadder is that Rush Limbaugh cannot clearly state that he believes that the Confederate flag should not be attacked. The Confederate flag represents several States seceding from a country that abandoned some of it’s founding principles. The Civil War was an illegal and unjustified war. States had every legal right to secede from the union.

One of those founding principles was that it was ok to keep half a state’s population enslaved. That was a principle that needed to be abandoned.

The Confederate battle flag has always been a symbol of hate, racism, and treason. Don’t pretend otherwise. It has the exact significance to African Americans as the Nazi swastika flag has to us.
