  1. (Tea Party PAC) – Officially kicking off his 2020 presidential campaign at a rally in El Paso Saturday, Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke declared that immigrants and asylum seekers are actually what make El Paso a safe town, which is located on the border. The rally was held at South El Paso Street, which is connected to Mexico via an international bridge.
Over 1000 supporters attended the rally, though it is not verifiable how many are actual citizens of the United States. The former Democratic Representative made sure to point out the disparity between his and President Trump’s immigration stances and policies. O’Rourke promotes the increase of immigration and claims diversity is actually a unifying force; despite his own party’s insistence on identity politics which actually separates and isolates based on ethnicity and color.
“With Ciudad Juarez we form the largest binational community in this hemisphere. And for 20 years running, we’ve been one of the safest cities in the United States of America,” O’Rourke stated. “We are safe not despite the fact that we are a city of immigrants and asylum seekers. We are safe because we are a city of immigrants and asylum seekers.”
“We have learned not to fear our differences, but to respect and embrace them. We see the languages spoken in this community, the traditions, the cultures, as a strength for El Paso,” he went on.
O’Rourke, an El Paso native, makes these statements following President Trump’s threat to shut down the Southern border. Trump asserts the Mexican government has failed repeatedly to assist the administration in stopping South American caravans attempting to infiltrate the United States. President Trump also lambasted Democrats on Twitter Friday morning for promoting “weak” immigration laws.
“The DEMOCRATS have given us the weakest immigration laws anywhere in the World. Mexico has the strongest, & they make more than $100 Billion a year on the U.S. Therefore, CONGRESS MUST CHANGE OUR WEAK IMMIGRATION LAWS NOW, & Mexico must stop illegals from entering the U.S,” the President challenged.
He continued: “Mexico has for many years made a fortune off of the U.S., far greater than Border Costs. If Mexico doesn’t immediately stop ALL illegal immigration coming into the United States [through] our Southern Border, I will be CLOSING the Border, or large sections of the Border, next week.”
O’Rourke also bashed President Trump over the issue of family separations at the border. He vowed to kill the common sense policy that actually protects children, if elected President.
“Let us reunite every single one of those families that are still separated today,” O’Rourke pleaded. “And let’s remember that every single one of us, including those who are just three or four blocks from here detained under the international bridge that connects us with Mexico behind chain-linked fence and barbed wire, that they are fellow human beings and deserved to be treated like our fellow human beings.” Albeit criminal fellow human beings.
“We will find security not through walls, not through militarization, we will find security by focusing on our ports of entry,” he continued. “If we are really serious about security, we have a golden opportunity, Republicans, Independents, Democrats alike to work on comprehensive immigration reform, to rewrite this country’s immigration laws in our own image with our own values and in the best traditions of the United States of America.”
O’Rourke made it clear Saturday that feelings trump logic and that in order to find security we must embrace open drug flow across the border, human trafficking, and the kidnapping of children from South, Central, and North America. There is no price too great to pay to achieve unity in the name of diversity. Laws are mean and we cannot, and should not, reasonably expect our ‘fellow humans beings’ to justly suffer consequences for breaking them. O’Rourke’s stance on the millions of American inmates currently incarcerated, away from their children and families, is not known at the time of the writing of this article.
