Andreas Lubitz told his Lufthansa flight school that he had a “previous episode of severe depression” in 2009 while he was training to become a pilot.

Lufthansa said Tuesday that it gave additional documents pertaining to the case of Germanwings Flight 9525 to the Dusseldorf public prosecutor, including files about Lubitz’s mental-health history.

Last week, Lufthansa’s chief executive told reporters that Lubitz “was 100 percent flightworthy without any limitations.” Read more.
