Roughly 200 miles off the North Carolina coast, the Coast Guard is conducting a medevac of a man missing for 66 days and found on a disabled sailing vessel. The Coast Guard received a notice from a 1,085-foot German-flagged motor vessel Houston Express at 1:30 p.m. saying it had spotted a man and vessel 200 miles east of Cape Hatteras, and brought him on board. The Coast Guard will transport the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The man is 37-year-old Louis Jordan and his sailing vessel was the Angel. They were reported missing by his family on January 29. Read more at the U.S. Coast Guard News.
