A man has turned himself in to a Bronx police precinct after an anonymous tipster claimed the unnamed individual had pledged allegiance to ISIS and was planning on shooting police officers in both New York and Philadelphia.

It is unclear if Marcus Shelton will face any charges, but he will be questioned by detectives.

The NYPD had issued an alert to its officers just hours before Shelton turned himself in.

Shelton, 36, a native of Peekskill, surrendered to a Bronx parole office and then was brought to the 40th precinct stationhouse for questioning, sources said.

It was unclear whether Shelton, who was a lengthy criminal history, will be arrested for the alleged threat. He is also wanted on two active forgery and drug warrants, sources said. Read more at NBC 4.
