A landlord in Manhattan is suing two tenants who allegedly stole mezuzahs from their neighbors’ apartment doors, the New York Post reported on Sunday.

The landlord, whose name was not revealed to the public, claimed in a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit that the tenants in question, Tanya McLeod and Anthony Bullock, have been swiping mezuzahs in their Upper West Side building, and have also repeatedly knocked on the doors of their neighbors “during all hours of the day and night, begging for money.”

The landlord evicted the two in April, but they ignored the order to leave the building, according to the Post report.
