rav-shteinmanToday, in a shmuess at Yeshiva Orchos Torah, Rav Chizkiyahu Mishkovsky, mashgiach of the yeshiva, discussed the current state of affairs facing the Olam HaTorah

Specifically, Rav Mishkovsky related the feelings of Maran Rav Aharon Leib Shteinman, who said that the way to respond to the current challenges is to increase one’s tefillos and limud haTorah.

Organizing mass gatherings, whether in Eretz Yisroel or chutz laaretz, said Rav Shteinman, is not the proper answer.

Hafganot lo yaazru (protests will not help),” Rav Mishkovsky said in the name of Rav Shteinman.

  1. We are fortunate to have the guiding light of Rav Aharon Leib to direct all of Klal Yisroel at this time.

Each generation is blessed with great Torah leaders who serve as manhigim. Maran Rav Shach appointed Rav Shteinman as the guide of the Olam Hayeshivos. May we have the zechus to continue to follow his every word.

  2. it is nonsensensical to think that protesting does anything anyway. No one cares what we think and it won’t help, as Rav Shteinman has guided us
Let us return to our Gemaros.

  5. It makes sense that ?????? ?? ????? – protests won’t help. why should the fact that 1000s of people come to the streets to say what the government already knows, help the government change course. the only way is to daven – not cause a ????? ???.

  6. Wow. I am so inspired by the comments. Such wisdom. They add so much. Each one so unique. Me ke’amcha yisroel.

  7. The Hafganot End Up Being Overtaken By Hooligens who are Out To Have a Good Time at The Expense of The Real Issues and End Up Being a Chillul Hashem With Fodder for The Secular Media To Portray The Chareidi Community as “Violent Fanatics”

  8. I hope that by now the general press has read enough of the chareidi take on this and know that last month’s protesters were uniformly excoriated and not the real news story.
