Mark Cuban, the outspoken owner of the Dallas Mavericks basketball team, today defended comments he made about race and bigotry when asked at a business conference to address the controversy over banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.
Cuban has come under fire on social media for his statements in a pre-recorded interview.
“If I see a black kid in a hoodie and it’s late at night, I’m walking to the other side of the street. And if on that side of the street, there’s a guy that has tattoos all over his face – white guy, bald head, tattoos everywhere – I’m walking back to the other side of the street,” he said in the interview that was posted on the Internet.
Critics said his “hoodie” reference recalled the 2012 shooting of unarmed, black Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt when he was fatally wounded in a struggle with a man who said he feared for his life. Read more here.

C’mon Matzav. Mark Cuban is a carpet beggar. If you think his view on “race” are trust, get your Torah out and ask it for forgiveness for throwing it in the waste section of human relations. This guy is a lamp to only the insolvency of his own favor.
What the real issue is is not whether Mr. Cuban can justify a war against the guy who “looks like a hoodlum” but whether Mark Cuban is really a friend of true liberty.
He sits in the stands and watches as the casualties of human voice are lost on the voice of a changing culture against times of change.
Ultimately, Mr. Cuban is not a pauper, but he is clearly not a prince.
Racism is an epidemic in some cities and this guy is only throwing sticks on the fire.
Give me a break.

Obama has succeeded in making race a lightning-rod issue no matter how vague people’s references may be.
If you do not conform to the left’s viewpoint on race, the send the media out to vilify and ostracize you. March to their sheet-music, or you will be silenced.

Please, people, read some history. The term “racism” was invented in Europe to describe the anti-Semites’ claim that Jews are a genetically inferior “race.” There are still plenty of White people in this country who think that Jews are a different “race” – not “white.”
Gunnar Myrdal, a Swedish sociologist, wrote a book about racism in the US in 1944. Jews marched in the South with civil rights activists because they remembered the anti-Jewish prejudice in Poland *before* the Nazis. Racism is a European term that originally referred to US – Jews – and it continues its poisonous career today, usually against people with darker skin, but also, quietly, because the ADL has made it legally dangerous to say so in public, against us.
