The suspect in Thursday’s shooting at an Annapolis, Md., newspaper has been identified as 38-year-old Jarrod Ramos, NBC News reported.

Ramos sued the Capital Gazette in 2012 for defamation, after The Capital published an article reporting on Ramos’ conviction for criminal harassment. Ramos’s case was thrown out by a judge.

Five people died and more were wounded when police say a lone suspect opened fire at the Capital Gazette’s newsroom in Annapolis.

  1. Democrats are disappointed that he wasn’t a white supremacist. Somehow, they’ll still find a way to blame President Trump.

  2. I’m not condoning at all what Mr. Ramos did but I can understand his frustration. What is news/media? What do they do? They report/tattletail all the negative news they can find. Slander is a daily activity. Without negativity, they go out of business. Whatever has a shock value to it, the better. Very rarely do they report something good, unless it involves some minority or deviant. Some people who commit crimes, do feel sorrow and regret. There may of been certain unique circumstances that led one to commit a particular crime. Unfortunately we have some of our precious youth that go off the derech for unique reasons. For a media outlet to publicize to the entire world mistakes that they have made is extremely harmful and counterproductive. They don’t care what happens afterwards. Is the criminal getting help? Is he in rehab? Does he have legal help? If he was the breadwinner for the family, is someone else stepping in? Etc, etc. The evil media empire loves to destroy people. They get paid to knock people down and embarrass them as much as possible. Try to destroy a human, if you will. I hate to say it but to some extent they had it coming.
