Mayan Hatorah Announces $10,000 for Rabbeim Per Wedding

This past Sunday evening, Bais Medrash Mayan Hatorah of Lakewood, NJ, held its annual dinner, drawing a tremendous crowd of parents, alumni and supporters, who came out to demonstrate support for the yeshiva.

During his address at the dinner, the rosh yeshiva, Rav Avrohom Mordechai Newman, thanked the entire dedicated staff of the yeshiva for giving of themselves tirelessly to ensure the hatzlachah of each and every bochur.

“Our goal is to make Reuven into the best Reuven he can possibly be and to make Shimon into the best Shimon he can possibly be,” said Rav Newman.

To express his genuine feelings of appreciation, Rav Newman announced a new initiative, stating that the yeshiva is undertaking to launch the Mayan Hatorah Chasunah Fund for the rabbeim of the yeshiva. Upon celebrating the wedding of a child, a rebbi will receive a $10,000 bonus.

The attendees at the dinner rose to their feet and applauded this important undertaking.

  2. if you are getting as underpaid as our rabbeim you should probably quit your job after all 26 years is a looonng time
