Mayor Barkat Visits Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi
[Photos below.] Mayor of Yerushalayim Nir Barkat visited Bayit Vegan last night as schools in the city mark the beginning of the school year. The highlight of the visit was a visit to Yeshiva Ateret Yisroel and a meeting with the rosh yeshiva, Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi.
The rosh yeshiva commented on the importance of the holy city of Yerushalayim and the important role played by the mayor.
At the end of the meeting, Rav Ezrachi gave the mayor a silver-plated shofar in advance of Rosh Hashanah and a set of his seforim, “Maamar Mordechai.”
Mayor Barkat was accompanied by several officials, including Deputy Mayor Yitzchok Pindrus.

Thanks for the post. Excellent photos and a beautiful brachah to the Mayor from the Rosh Yeshiva. This is the path of ‘derchai noam’.

Rav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi is the son-in-law of the famed Rav Meir Chadash, a talmid of the Alter of Slobodka, and former mashgiach of Yeshiva Chevron.
