Republican Senator John McCain has joined the chorus of lawmakers saying that former Defense Secretary Robert Gates should have delayed publishing his memoir.
The memoir caused a stir in Washington due to the opinions Gates discloses on President Obama, Vice President Biden, and members of Congress. “If I (had been) giving him advice, I would have waited,” McCain said on CNN’s State of the Union, saying maybe until after operations in Afghanistan were over.
Senator Marco Rubio and Rep. Elijah Cummings have also criticized the timing of the book. Read more at USA Today.

In other words, don’t let the American public have the information they needs to judge government officials until it’s too late. Because McCain and his establishment ilk believe that the American citizen can’t be trusted to draw the proper conclusions.
mccain’s incessant meddling is symptomatic of a leaky faucet probably due to a faint realization that bygones aren’t bygones in a world wearied by the sophomoric ramblings of pseudo politicians as their unevaluated influence gets loosened from their moorings.
